The Messermeister Fine Honing Steel is made from high-carbon tool steel, ideal for regular maintenance of knives and other cutting tools. Our large diameter rod is milled with fine grooves which safely and quickly align your edge without causing undue wear. The tool steel rod is engineered to work on any kitchen knife, even the hardest modern blade steels and will not lose effectiveness over time. The soft-touch ergonomic handle includes a hang ring and flared hand guard.
