Spot Size: Each team will be allocated a 10x10 spot. No Trailers allowed. Don't call, text, email or DM us asking if you can bring your trailer because it's small. The answer will be no unless it can fit in a 10x10 spot.
Category Winners/Judging: Each team will be required to submit 6 samples per entry. Entries will be judged by local "celebrity" and friends of the Iowa BBQ Store inside the CornCooker kitchen. Blind Judging will determine each Category Winner as well as the Overall Champion aka the Monarch of the Munchies: The Remix
Turn in Boxes: We will provide turn in boxes for all teams that want them. You are not required to use the box. If you prefer to get creative and turn in on a platter, serving trays etc, feel free. We will also provide cards with each entry box to write your team number on and a brief description of each dish. The description will be read aloud to the judges by an Iowa BBQ Store employee and the team numbers will be double blind.
For the People: We are promoting this event as a public event to help promote the store, the cooks and teams competing. This is a great opportunity to showcase your brand. It is not required to cook extra food for the public but there will be a For the People Winner in each of the 3 categories.
Team Load In: Teams may load in after 5:30pm Friday night, not 5:00pm or 4:30pm, after 5:30pm as our parent company conducts business until 5:30pm.
Over $2,000 worth of prizes will be given out.
