We have been holding onto this recipe for years and finally decided to bottle it for everyone to try. This mustard-based bbq sauce is Tangy, Sweet, Smokey and Savory. Florida Gold won 4th place at the American Royal mustard sauce contest.
Competition Brew
This was my first Competition style BBQ sauce. Also developed at home in my home in my kitchen. Originally named "The Kitchen Sink" I added so many spices I found that name was fitting. After some fine tuning the name "Competition Brew" stood out in my mind. A sweet but savory BBQ sauce goes great on all meats especially Brisket and Competition style Burnt Ends! Mix Competition Brew and Tillman's Spicy Chipotle Apple to create an award winning combination!
Chipotle Apple
Developed at home in my kitchen for BBQ competition's, this Sweet Heat BBQ sauce goes on everything! A sweet apple flavor is followed up with spicy chipotle pepper heat. I have won several awards at BBQ competition's using Tillman's Spicy Chipotle Apple mixed with Tillman's Competition Brew. We use Spicy Chipotle Apple on everything from taco's to hotdogs and hamburgers!
Grandma's Red Sauce
This sauce was developed in Miami Florida in the 40's by my family. This sauce has been a Nelson family staple since way back then. My Grandmother Ann Nelson taught me the recipe and that is where it all started! I like to describe this sauce as a Sweet-Tangy southern style BBQ sauce. Its sweet but not as sweet as the others, then tangy with that vinegar note. Tillman's competition BBQ team will mix all 3 flavors over low heat to create a unique profile that we use when we are competing in BBQ competitions.
