Smokey Meatball Subs

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Meatballs:

    • In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, ground pork, crushed pork rinds, rub and egg.
    • Roll the mixture into evenly sized meatballs.
    • Lightly dust the formed meatballs with more Rub.

  1. Smoke the Meatballs:

    • Preheat your smoker to 300°F.
    • Place the meatballs on the smoker and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  1. Glaze & Finish:

    • In the last 10 minutes of cooking, brush the meatballs with Apple Hab sauce.
    • Let them finish cooking until the sauce is set and slightly caramelized.

  1. Assemble the Subs:

    • Place the meatballs on sub rolls, top with shredded mozzarella, and return to the smoker (or oven) just until the cheese melts.

  1. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Serve hot and enjoy during the big game!
